Bet on Yourself Every Time The Rise of Arneil Brooks

Arneil Brooks has never stayed in one place long enough to let life define him. Born in upstate New York, his journey carried him through Little Rock, Arkansas, into Louisiana where he attended Grambling State University, then to St. Louis, Missouri where adulthood, responsibility, and fatherhood took shape. Today, he stands in Dallas, Texas, not restarting his life, but leveling it up.

Every move sharpened him. Every transition forced growth. His upbringing taught him perseverance, how to move through struggle without allowing it to shrink him, and how to turn loss into instruction. Arneil does not measure himself against others. He measures himself against the challenge in front of him and believes he is always greater than whatever he is facing. From childhood to adulthood, he has been pushed to be better, and he accepted that push as purpose.

Professionally, Arneil wears several hats, all rooted in service and impact. He is currently a site coordinator for Clayton Youth, where he directs elementary students through educational programs, after school activities, and mentorship. His work with children is not a phase. It is a calling he has lived out since his own youth. With more than fifteen years in education, he has consistently invested in young people long before titles or recognition followed.

Alongside education, Arneil stepped into acting and has spent the last year and a half building his career as a professional actor under the name Dev the Actor. Acting, for him, is not separate from his mission. It is another tool for expression, influence, and growth. Four years ago, he founded a nonprofit to mentor middle and high school young men, and now he is developing a broader vision. Projectlyf3 Plus Inc is in its early stages, with plans to launch nationally from Dallas, Texas, focused on education, mentorship, and long term empowerment.

If Arneil could speak to his younger self, his message would be simple and unwavering. Believe. Bet on yourself. The road ahead will bring trials and tribulations, but forward motion is not optional. Failure is proof that you tried, and the only real mistake is failing to learn from it. When you commit to learning something, learn it fully. When you try something new, do it believing it will add value to who you are becoming.

One of the hardest lessons Arneil learned was understanding that caring deeply can make you vulnerable to being taken advantage of. Those who wear their hearts openly are often the ones most overextended and overlooked. That realization brought pain, but also wisdom. Today, he values peace just as much as purpose. Choosing himself is no longer something he apologizes for, whether in work, relationships, or family.

Motivation, for Arneil, does not depend on applause. He stays grounded by keeping his eyes on the end goal and understanding why he started. Not everyone will agree with him. Not everyone will support his choices or connect with his performances. What matters is growth. Is he learning. Is he evolving. Is he further than he was last week, last year, or the year before. Progress, not perfection, is the measure.

The greatest sacrifice he has made came with relocation. Moving away from his two children was the hardest decision of his life. It was a choice rooted in long term vision rather than short term comfort. Though the distance was painful, the bond remains strong, and his children understand that the decision was made to elevate their lives as a family unit. It is a sacrifice he still carries, still grows through, and still believes was necessary.

Today, Arneil stands in a better mental space than he was a year ago. Spiritually, his connection to God has strengthened, guiding him through daily lessons and challenges. Financially, he knows he is not where he wants to be yet, but he is moving forward, not backward. He believes the breakthrough is coming, that he is one opportunity, one role, one open door away from the next level.

His advice to others is bold and unapologetic. If your dreams make sense to everyone else, you are not dreaming big enough. Dream beyond comfort. Set goals that feel unbelievable and chase them anyway. People will always have opinions. Doubt will always exist. What matters is faith, belief in yourself, and the willingness to push forward even when the path is unclear. No two journeys look the same. Creating your own path means owning every step of it.

Arneil Brooks is not waiting for permission. He is building, believing, and becoming in real time. And wherever his journey leads next, one thing is certain. He will continue to bet on himself.
